Feeling the Love of God

LOVE’S PRESENCE

Beloved,

Rest in My Love which is your Home.
Rest in It like in a soft cushion.
Lean back into It and let yourself be carried.

Listen to Love’s Voice, telling you Love stories or,
better still, singing Love songs about you, the Beloved.

I gaze at you in wonder when I behold your loveliness.
I gasp with delight when I see your beauty.
I dance with joy because you are My perfect creation
and you express the Love I AM perfectly.

Let’s hold hands and feel our unity in Love
and sing together a song of praise to Love’s Presence.

AMEN

THE TEAM

Holy Spirit and I are a team.
I do nothing without Him,
for I am nothing without Him.

We go hand in hand,
Holy Spirit and I.

We walk together,
we talk together,
we breathe together.

And most of all,
we live together as One,
in the inner stillness
which is God.

LOVE SONG

THERE IS NO LOVE BUT GOD’S

Perhaps you think that different kinds of love are possible.
Perhaps you think there is a kind of love for this, a kind for that;
a way of loving one, another way of loving still another.

LOVE IS ONE.

It has no separate parts and no degrees;
no kinds nor levels, no divergencies
and no distinctions.

It is like itself, unchanged throughout.
It never alters with a person or a circumstance.
It is the Heart of God, and also of His Son.

Love’s meaning is obscure
to anyone who thinks that love can change.
He does not see that changing love
must be impossible.

And thus he thinks that he can love at times,
and hate at other times.

He also thinks that love can be bestowed on one,
and yet remain itself although it is withheld from others.

To believe these things of love
is not to understand it.

If it could make such distinctions,
it would have to judge between the righteous and the sinner,
and perceive the Son of God in separate parts.

Love cannot judge.
As it is one itself, it looks on all as one.
Its meaning lies in oneness.

And it must elude the mind
that thinks of it as partial or in part.

THERE IS NO LOVE BUT GOD’S
AND ALL OF LOVE IS HIS.

There is no other principle that rules
where love is not.

Love is a law without opposite.
Its wholeness is the power
holding everything as one,
the link between the Father and the Son
which holds Them both forever as the same.

Love’s meaning is your own,
and shared by God Himself.
For what you are is what He is.

There is no love but His,
and what He is,
is everything there is.

There is no limit placed upon Himself,
and so are you unlimited as well.

LET ME SEE AS LOVE SEES

I like to choose a thought for the day and then journal about it as I go through the day. This helps me to remain focused on the thought.

7.15 - “Let me see as Love sees” shall be my theme for the day. And Love sees only Itself, namely Love!

8 - It is helpful to focus on a theme because I noticed that the mind is very quick to create conflict through opposites. Love is One and has no opposite, it simply IS. With this correction of my thoughts, I forgot what it was, I felt conflict about and got on with the day.

8.30 - “Let me see as Love sees” brings a gentleness to my thoughts and feelings and attitudes. It is like being wrapped into the petals of a soft, pink rose.

9.30 - I am gentle with myself and others and need not hurry or worry.

10 - When I feel something in me that is unlike Love, I embrace it with the Love I AM. Amen.

10.40 - Holy Spirit,
I have a recurring thought about a friend. I wrote to her and I have not received an answer. I feel I have offended her (or to put it correctly, she is having difficulties with my e-mail).
How do You see this? I can’t at the moment see this as Love sees. I could try but it would ignore my underlying feelings and I wouldn’t be in alignment within myself.

Beloved,
Thank you for coming to Me with this concern of yours.
Of course you feel uncomfortable because deep down you know that you have not written from a place of loving honesty. THIS is the concern, not how she thinks about it. Therefore you can heal this by forgiving yourself your forgetfulness and your old habit of forgetting to come to Me before writing an e-mail. It is done, it is gone, a learning experience has been created. You can let it go and choose again. Amen.

11.15 - Love trusts all things!

I really feel the benefit of practicing lesson 118 from ACIM:

On the hour:
“God’s peace and joy are mine.”

On the half hour:
“Let me be still and listen to the truth.”

And then carry these thoughts into the half hour ahead. It is amazing what a ‘pick up’ effect they have. Better than any cup of tea!

When my thoughts wander off some rather negative side street, the thought “Let me be still and listen to the truth”, is the compass which returns me to Home Base. Whenever my mood isn’t exactly joyous, the thought “God’s peace and joy are mine”, reminds me, that these gifts of God are REAL. They only need my acceptance. DONE!

12.15 - Working with the idea of the day, brings to the surface the ‘substitutes’ I have made for Love. Those obstacles, which I need to feel and embrace, that they may be transcended. Amen.

2.15 - Resting in the sunny living room. Feeling the love of the moment. Amen.

3 - Love - seeing with the eyes of Love. Hearing with the ears of Love. Tasting with the mouth of Love. Touching with the hands of Love. Smelling with the nose of Love. This awareness develops the spiritual senses within. Amen.

3.15 - Resting time. I went to Holy Spirit with my burdens and concerns. He gladly took it all from me. I am feeling so much lighter. I am getting the idea what self-love is: to listen to oneself with compassion. Amen.

5 - Through the eyes of awe - a most stunning sunset display.
